*Way From Summit to Tinipak River

*Way Back to Barangay Hall. Uwian na! Haha

*Thank you CAB for the smooth accomodation :)

If you don't want to hike at Mt. Daraitan. Then go straight here at Tinipak River, 1 ride only in Tricycle from Barangay Hall of Daraitan. After you drop from trike, 10-15minutes walk to the registration fee. Where there has a cottages, if you have a tent you can build it there also and 20pesos fee for the Tinipak Rock Formation.

If you don't have a food to bring don't worry there's a mini carenderia also but expect it to be pricey coz you know "bundok nga eh" so I'll suggest to bring your own food.

But if you are from the summit of Mt. Daraitan, you can tell to your tour guides that you want to go at Tinipak River. 4 hours hike needed to go there so be prepared specially the muds "sobrang maputik as in!" but it's all worth it naman when you reached the destination.

Yes, you can swim at Tinipak but pili lang. You can't swim at Rock Formation kung ayaw niyo pa mamatay! Hahaha

Details of Mt. Daraitan and on how to go at Tanay Rizal will found here.

It's been a month since my last last post here. We've been busy because we resigned to our job and applying for a new and thankfully we're hired!🙏

This 2017 we decide to travel every month and we're very excited to do this! So for our first month, our 1/12 is Mt.Daraitan Tanay, Rizal.

About Mt. Daraitan:
Location: Barangay Daraitan - Tanay, Rizal
Height: 739+ masl
Difficulty: 4/9
Feature: Scenic view of the Sierra Madre range and of Tinipak River

"Mt. Daraitan is one of the several stunning mountains located in the beautiful province of Rizal boasting all of nature’s goodness from pristine rivers and waterfalls, dark hollowed caves of century old formation of stalagmite and stalactite rocks to the picturesque view of the Sierra Madre range. She has quickly established herself as one of the top hiking destinations bringing hundreds of thrill seeking spirits to her trails every single day. She may have allowed way too many footprints in her land but don’t ever think she is all spice and everything nice because behind her summit seeming so graceful from afar is her utterly formidable nature which have sent some hikers home weeping and with a broken heart or should I say a broken knee."

How to get there?:
From Manila, there's a UV Express at StarMall in Shaw Boulevard,  tell the driver to drop you at Tanay Market. From Tanay Market get a tricycle to  go at Barangay Daraitan travel time is 1.5 hours. From Barangay Daraitan you should cross at the Daraitan River using a boat for only 5pesos but you can also use the hanging bridge if you want. After that, go to Barangay Hall, it's 1km only so you can walk or grab a tricycle if you want. Then registration fee start hiking.

Summary of Expenses:
UV Express from Star Mall - 70pesos
Tricycle going to Barangay Daraitan - 400 (I suggest you to group yourselves atleast 6)
Boat for River Crossing - 5pesos
Tricycle going to Barangay Hall - 10
Guide Fee - 500 (Including the Tinipak if you go there)
Registration Fee - 20
Registration for Tinipak - 20

Total: 762pesos Only!

What to Expect:
  • The store at every campsite is pricey so I suggest you to buy all you need before you go there.
  • 4 hours is the maximum total time before go to Summit even it's short or long trail.

I suggest you to start your hike atleast 5am to see the beautiful sea clouds at Daraitan.
Thank you CAB for accomodating us! Check their fb page to see the other travel destination.

Our tour guides are Ate Melody and Kuya Bryan. :)

Next post will be Tinipak River 😉
