If you are looking for a quick getaway near in Manila, then try this little resort at Morong, Bataan. Travel is 3-4 hours only.😊 April is our anniversary month. So you'll notice guys that every April we were planning a trip for 2-3 days. So for this year, I want to make it in our home town, Bataan! Yes, we both from Bataan. I wanted to try the famous in Mariveles the "Five Fingers" but I really want to relax only and not doing anything water activities, you know the stress at work right? Haha.😂 And then I saw this Playa la Caleta at facebook and did a research.

"Playa La Caleta (which means “Beach Cove”) or PLC for short, is an eco-tourism resort with a 100-hectare cove. Located in the municipality of Morong in the province of Bataan, it has a 1-kilometer white sand beach at the front, lush mountain jungle/forest in the middle and 3 waterfalls at the back. On the left side of the cove is also a 1-hectare islet, called Miguelito Island. "

When I saw the pictures, I already decided to book a reservation for us. Fine sand, calm beach and their cute Gazebos are totally perfect for our summer getaway.😍 I emailed them first for a reservation, they also accept walk-ins directly at the PLC island office but  that will be on a first come first serve basis with no guarantees, so they recommended a reservation first. They are online from 9am-6pm so they'll response to your emails on the said time.😊
Boat transfer is required to get in Playa. And because we are only 3 pax, I asked them if it's okay to join in other group because the price for boat is 1,800 pesos with max of 10 pax and it's too big for us. And because it's weekdays, there's no other group that we can join so they offered us the 4wd, it is a land transfer instead of boat and it is more cheap rather than boat, it costs 1,200 pesos with max of 6 pax. So we agreed to take the 4wd instead. The resort was empty, we're in three groups only on that day (Tuesday). It's super relaxing, especially when you see the calm beach and hear the waves.😍 PLC has 24/7 water supply and electricity, what I love the most is that you can drink the water in the faucets because it is from the mountain.👍

There were so many things to do at the resort, the one that is famous in PLC is the Slip N Slide. It is a big slide where you will drop at the water, of course there's a fee for this. Beside in slide, they also do have some activities that a really must try in the resort, including: Windsurf Board, Skimboard, Bodyboard, kayak and many more! Check the rates here.

If you're worrying in mobile signals. Globe don't have a signal while in Smart and Sun do have. You can also bring your own food. If you want to cook your food, they have grills at the resort but you should provide for the utensils, ingredients and the charcoals. PLC offers ice and charcoals too.

It gets really cold at night, so they advise to bringing blankets & jackets. PLC has a music band or a movie marathon every weekend (I'm not sure). Because we asked about it and they say they do the movie marathon depends on the number of guests and because we're in three groups only we didn't experienced it. Hopefully next time we get to experience the music band. The island was so quiet. Also expect when you eat there's so much housefly everywhere, but in night there's no mosquito but thanks for the mosquito net for our Gazebo.
