Frendz Hostel Boracay 2019
Searching and finding the right hotel for your vacation is really a hard one., especially if you are in a budget. Most of cheap hotels in Boracay was already fully booked in our date of arrival and this hostel caught my attention because of their high ratings, multi-awarded hostel and almost 5 star in review section. It's a Frendz Hostel Boracay.
I found this hostel at Agoda. They are located in Station 2 near D'mall which is perfect because D'mall is where you can find everything, foods, souvenirs, atms, and many more. So it's very convenient to be near on this mall. It is also near in 711, Starbucks, Yellow Cab and other famous restaurants that you may know. But the thing is, this hostel is not in the beach front but it's a 5 minute walk from hostel to the white beach. If you want a beach front hotel, expect it that it is more expensive so if you're like us who is in a budget type especially that we're spending 5 days, then book a hotel that is not in beach front type.
We booked it in a low price that Agoda offer that day. We booked the Deluxe Double Room for Php1,920/night only but the original price is Php2,160/night tax is not included here, the tax we paid is Php1,152 payment upon check-in.
Our room inclusions are:
- Wifi - upon check-in they will give you an account for their wifi. Username and password and you can use it until your last day only. The internet was good.
- 1 Queen bed
- Refrigerator
- Air-conditioning
- Electric fan - in case you don't want to use aircon.
- Private Bathroom and Shower with heater
- Cabled TV
- Vanity Area
- Locker
- Use of Pool and Billiard
- Towels and Toiletries(two soap and tissues)
- Casa Family Room = from Php2,160/night maximum of 4 person
- Casa Standard Room = Php1,620/night
- Basic Native Room = Php1,620/night
- Standard Native Room = Php1,800/night
You can find these rooms at their website because it is not offer at Agoda. Same inclusion in their deluxe room except in refrigerator I guess. Breakfast is not included, but you can suggest this in the hotel if you want to include the breakfast.
Frendz Hostel also offer a budget type room for backpackers or solo traveler, here is the price lists:
- Bed in 5-Bed Native Mixed Dorm = from Php540/night
- Bed in 8-Bed Native Mixed Dorm = from Php540/night
- Bed in 8-Bed Female Native Dorm = from Php540/night
- Bed in 4-Bed Casa Mixed Dorm = from Php540/night
- Bed in 6-Bed Casa Mixed Dorm = from Php540/night
- Bed in 6-Bed Casa Female Dorm = from Php540/night
- Bed in 4-Single-Bed Casa Mixed Dorm = from Php540/night
- Bed in 5-Bed Casa Mixed Dorm = from Php540/night
All of these are maximum of 1 person. These list is based in Frendz Hostel Website. In Agoda, it offer only a 2 type of Dormitory Room and the rate is Php600/night. These rooms inclusions are:

- Shared Bathroom downstairs
- Air-conditioning
- Each bed has personal locker and charging outlet

We chose the "Pay at the hotel" in Agoda, it was our first time to book in Agoda because in my experience I prefer to book directly and what can I say with Agoda? it was all good! No hassle and our reservation and information was really secured. After booking, you will receive an email of booking confirmation that you're going to show at Jetty Port. What if you didn't show up at the property on the said date? Agoda will deduct a 25% of your booking value in your credit card that's why they need your credit card or debit card upon booking. For Cancellation Policy: Any cancellation received will incur a charge of 25% of the booking value.If you fail to arrive or cancel the booking, no refund will be given.
Upon check-in they welcome us with a welcome drinks, they will ask you if you want an ice tea or beer. Their staff are really friendly like what I read on the ratings and always smiling, they even gave us a baller bands for souvenir, how cute! I love the interior of the whole hostel because they used a wood and a native type, you really feel the filipino vibes there. I noticed that most of their guests are americans but I also saw some filipinos there. Our room was near in the reception area. We have our own veranda and our room's interior was all made in wood.
*Free Pasta every Sunday and Wednesday*
Frendz Hostel have a live music every Sunday and Wednesday with free pasta(They called it Pasta Night). We check-in at sunday so our dinner is free. Haha! They had a DJ that sings up until 11pm, I don't have a photo because my husband wants to eat inside in our room only and we want to rest early that time. They also organized a weekly island hopping tours around Boracay and Carabao Island.

They have a mini bar near in the main entrance, where you can chill any time. Using of pool and billiard is free and included in your booking so enjoy your free time. We had a breakfast for 2 days at Frendz.

You can book your accommodation at Agoda or directly in their website but sometimes Agoda had a discount like we experienced so you better check it out always. Frendz Hostel was great, and I love how their staff was friendly. If we get a chance to book here again we would love to do it again because of how convenient the place is. Very near in everywhere and affordable.👍
